As the demand of electric vehicle is booming in India. Govt of India is also taking major steps to promote it at a higher pace. And this time the govt has planned to solve one of the major issues of the EV fleet owners i.e., by introducing a mobile application which will be launched by the power ministry for the electric vehicle proprietor with which they will soon be able to book time slots at charging stations.
Through the app, users will be able to check availability of slots at charging stations in the country and book them online, said a government official.
The application will enable advance remote booking of charging slots by electric vehicle proprietors.
The application will also give data in regards to area, types and number of chargers installed and accessible amid a given time period,” said the official, who did not wish to be identified.
Information of all open charging stations across India will be accessible through the application. The information is being assembled by the power service’s planning wing, Central Electricity Authority (CEA). Currently, there are 150 charging stations in India.
Numerous Western nations as of now have such online facilities for electric vehicle proprietors.
