A Village Chakanwala Panchayat named ‘Mandironwala Bhuddi’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha District has no electricity poles and the village is completely being lit up using solar power. This has become an example for other states and the village is presenting itself as a model for Renewable energy usage with complete reliance on solar power for all its needs.
As a part of government’s scheme solar panels have been installed at every house in the village.

A village resident said, “This is very beneficial to us as we can do our household chores easily in the solar light.”
Village resident Khacheru Singh said, “The life has changed a lot after the solar power was brought to the village. The facility was introduced in the village by local MP.”
The children of the village can be got the most benefit of the solar powered lights as they could now study in the night times as well. The villagers got a sigh of relief as with the solar being installed now they could get relief from the scorching sun at a very cheap rate and enjoy the power supply at any time without any power cut worries.
The solar has not only enlightened their homes but brought a new shine in their life as now they could save more and utilise the savings for a better and healthy future.
